[POEM] River ran dry

River ran dry

I went to the river,
all was lost,
run through the town and cry.
I came from the land of possible, until the river ran dry.

She came to me without a voice,
and I asked for song.
She came to me without her heart,
and I was left alone.

I went to the river,
all was lost,
run through the town and cry.
I came from the land of possible, until the river ran dry.

What did she want?
I do not know,
but I was not that part.
She left with him,
and broke my heart,
but was never quite her man.

I went to the river,
all was lost,
run through the town and cry.
I came from the land of possible, until the river ran dry.

So now I walk, no longer run.
No energy has left me dry.
So now I walk, into the sun.
With head in my hands to cry.
